If you have never cruised the South Sound, you’re in for a treat of great, uncrowded locations, with some fun and short “sailing” in between stops. Start at Gig Harbour, and join for all or part of the cruise. The plan alternates between anchorages and marinas. The last time we did this we had 22 boats. No one was bored. Ever.

Fri/Sat 16-17 August (pre-cruise meetme@, no events) Gig Harbor Anchor out or at Arabella’s Landing. Call 253-851-7793 for reservations ASAP. They fill up fast.
Sun 18 August Penrose Anchorage+ State mooring balls Check for Burn Ban (we may be able to have a camp fire)
Mon 19 Aug Longbranch On-dock, with power and water
Tue 20 Aug McMicken Island Anchorage+ a few state mooring balls (No Fires Allowed)
Wed 21 Aug Jarrell Cove Anchor out or moor at dock. Showers and pump-out available at the park marina Check for Burn Ban (we may be able to have a camp fire)
Thur 22 Aug Olympia (Swantown Marina)
Fri 23 Aug Tolmie State Park Anchorage only Check for Burn Ban (we may be able to have a camp fire)
Sat 24 Aug Tacoma (Dock St Marina) Plenty to do in town
